Last month we paid an early autumn visit (our first) to the National Trust property of Canons Ashby deep in rural Northamptonshire. We found it to be a lovely place and even the drive there to get a break from the M1 and M6 took us through some lovely villages. I really liked the local stone used in many of the buildings both here and in the villages we passed through. Below are a few photos taken on our visit:
It is obvious that the church is well looked after with the lovely Halloween decorations – a nice place to visit.
