Porthdinllaen Headland Infra-Red Views

On my visit to North Wales a couple of months ago, as well as normal colour photographs I took some infra-red views using my converted camera. Here are a few of the results shown as monochrome black and white:

Porthdinllaen headland looking east across the northern coast of the Llyn peninsular in IR
Porthdinllaen headland looking a bit further north with clouds over Anglesey
West side of the headland with the Coastguard lookout station in the distance
A 5-image panoramic view of Porthdinllaen seen from the cliffs above
A view of part of the village nestling under the cliffs viewed from above
A 4-image panoramic view showing stormier seas looking westwards from the headland
A close-up views of lichen and mosses on some rocks but showing the distant scene to provide context – still in infra-red

As well as enhancing the look of the clouds in the sky, I like the way the sea renders dark, almost black in infra-red
