Making a start in Ultra Violet Fluorescence photography – 4: Mould

In my trials and tests while learning about Ultra-Violet (UV) photography I tried again with a mouldy cucumber (a different one this time!). I am learning to be a bit more methodical and was using a prepared background. Here are the results:

This was a composite from 2 images as it is very difficult to get a completely consistent result painting with light. Note that some of the skin is fluorescing red. The next set is of a section of the same cucumber a few days later. Use the slider to see more or less of each image:

Two lessons I have learnt from this is: 1) a black background would be better. 2) although I have tried to control the dust I need to do better – every tiny spec shows up!
