Following on from the last post mentioning I had upgraded the website and reworked the gallery of photos of East Ruston Old Vicarage, I have just finished rebuilding the panoramic images gallery.
You can see the gallery here, but here are a couple of images to show:
This may look strange, but it is a 360 degree view taken inside a glasshouse at East Ruston Old Vicarage. Go to this link and you will be able to select an interactive view so you can pan all the way around (and also straighten the curved lines). The interactive view is quite impressive when you select the full screen mode.
The image below is one of my favourites. It was taken a few years ago when we lived in Wales (OK, 2007). This is a hand-held shot that I have re-processed using modern stitching software. It is very wide for its height but the field of view is not even 180 degrees:
You can see a larger version in the gallery here along with a link for the interactive view – again this interactive view is quite impressive in full screen mode.
What I have done for this gallery is to organise the photos, where possible, by location. I have split East Ruston Old Vicarage into 3 areas: North, West and South. Within each area I group similar views together enabling you to see (as time progresses) how the views change by season and year. For our garden (which I now refer to by its name ‘Orchard View’) I have split this into 4 areas and, again, try to group similar views together.
The next gallery to work on is the garden gallery…
