My wife is the gardener and she likes to fill every available space with plants. This scene is just outside our back door under a translucent canopy. I have taken the view in daylight (a bit overcast so the lighting was quite soft) and Ultra Violet Fluorescence. Here is the view of the two images in a comparison slider:
I like to try different blending modes to see how the colours show. This is the best result:
For the UV fluorescence photos I had to take multiple images light painting different parts of the scene with the UV torch. These I then assembled in Photoshop – 19 images into 19 layers:
An interesting exercise. One thing I discovered is that some of the plants drooped a little between the daytime photo and the evening UV photos hence the alignment is not perfect. I think the technique has potential though.
