We live next to a largish farmer’s field. By the fence we have a shed which provides a nice view of the field, suitable for taking panoramic views:
This view was taken on the 15th November. One reason I took it on this day was for the clouds above the landscape. You can also see that the crop that was sown last month (see the gallery) has started to grow colouring the field with a nice green tone.
Taking the photos was quite straightforward, processing them was more difficult. The original set included another row of images above this to show more of the sky. However, in processing these it became apparent that there was a large area of flat cloud with no detail. So I discarded these and concentrated on the main landscape.
One issue was the variation in brightness with some parts of the sky burning out to white – I had to process the images several ways before I had a set that was usable. In the end I used the raw files, processed to JPG files, then processed these with HDR software taking care to adjust the ‘white point’.
