We made just the one visit to Downs Bank (a National Trust hillside woodland) last month. I took 2 lenses on 2 cameras; one a wide angle zoom and the other a telephoto zoom. Here is a selection of photos taken on this fine, sunny day.
This bird view below was a lucky shot. I was able to use my telephoto lens hand-held and tried to walk a little way through the trees to get a clear view. I managed 3 shots before the bird flew away but only this one was in focus. I have had to crop this quite a lot to show the bird.
The path I was on was one of the higher paths in the wood, the tree the bird was perched on was down in the small valley where the stream flows. So the bird and I were at the same height albeit some distance apart.
