June Visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage gardens

Earlier this month we made another  visit to these wonderful gardens:

Vicarage from King's WalkThis is one of my favourites: the view of the vicarage from the north end of the King’s Walk. This shows some of the attention to detail that goes into this garden; the stripes of the lawn going through the gateway. One thing that I think makes this view is the clouds in the sky – a few white clouds adds character to an otherwise plain blue sky.

In the Diamond Jubilee Walled Garden is this doorway on the eastern side:

Doorway in the walled gardenThis is the first time I have seen it with so much vegetation around it making the doorway an inviting place to enter. What never ceases to amaze me is how quickly, and lushly, plants grow here; not that long ago it was an almost empty space.

The pond in the Exotic Garden was looking grand:

pond in exotic gardenI like getting such views with a point of interest (the yellow flower in this case) leading into the rest of the scene. As you can see, there were plenty of flowers that were open during this afternoon.

I must admit that I have mixed feelings about the Mediterranean Garden:

You can see all the photos I have taken this visit in my East Ruston Old Vicarage Gallery. Note that as the gallery is organised by location, photos taken on a particular visit are scattered about the different sections of the gallery.
