A night in the vegetable garden…

One evening last week I set up the wildlife camera at one end of the vegetable garden to see what wildlife is around. Here are the results (these are enlargements from the originals):

1) Rat at 21:08 – this was scurrying around the vegetable plot

2) Rat returned at 21:38 – still moving around the vegetable plot

3) Rabbit at 22:10 – The camera just caught 1 frame of it at the very edge

4) Eyes in the distance at 22:13

5) which turned out to be a cat:

6) The cat walked straight through the garden but returned at 22:32. Pity it didn’t catch the rat!

7) The rat returns at 23:37

8) Moth at 01:09. This is bright because it is close to the lamps and blurry because of both movement and being quite close to the lens:

We are learning a lot about our garden from this camera – a useful investment!
