September visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage

Earlier this month we paid another visit to these wonderful gardens:

ZantedeschiaThis is a  Zantedeschia near the Glasshouse Garden – I thought the colour of this plant is absolutely stunning. It was difficult to take this photo as the flower was in the middle of the bed and the wind was quite brisk. I had to hold the camera in the air stretching out as far and high as I could manage.

At the time of the visit the flowers of the Colchicums were out:

view of ColchicumsThis is a view of the collection that is to the south of the Walled Garden. Looking closer at a single variety (no. 44) the colour really stands out:

There was some good colour in the Red and Purple Borders:
