Yacon flowers

Due to the mild autumn, our Yacon plant is still growing well and sporting flowers:

Yacon flower 1Although I took some photos of this plant a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to get some more photos before the frosts get to them. It was a fine, sunny day although a bit breezy at times – I took many photos to ensure that I had a few without movement spoiling them.

For the first photo, I show an almost square-on image of the full flower; it shows well the colour, form and setting of the flower.

For this second image I wanted a view more to the side with a neutral background but with space around it for text should it be used for, say, a magazine:

The final image, was taken in the shade so the colour is different. I took advantage of this to process it slightly differently to give a different look to this photo:

All my yacon photos can be seen in the Garden Gallery.
