Focus Stacking and Yacon Cake

At the risk of this becoming to sound like a baking blog…

I made another Yakon cake (a carrot cake using yacon (that I grew in the garden) instead of carrots). As an experiment, this version omitted the sultanas but it didn’t taste as good! Also, I tried out focus stacking again using this cake:

In this version, I used a white background. I did, however, experience a small problem with my Promote Controller that I used to control the focus stacking: after setting the front and rear points of the focus range, it racked back too far (closer to the lens) then didn’t achieve the set far end of the range. I have reported this to the manufacturers and they are looking into it.

But I do like the effect, especially if this issue can be fixed.
