This month I have taken two panoramas of the field next door. The first was taken in mid April under a clear blue sky:
Should you go to the gallery and compare it to the previous month, it is quite noticeable how much the crop has grown. The fresh spring growth contrasts well with the blue sky.
This photo was difficult to get as I wanted due to the wind movement. Technically, the 5-exposure hdr sets were showing to much movement in the bushes at either side, the anti-ghosting routines didn’t work well and trying 3-exposure sets didn’t improve things. I eventually processed the mid-exposure raw files as 16 bit tiff and pseudo-hdr processed them.
About a week later, the oilseed rape was in full flower so I wanted to see if I could show this in the image:
You might just be able to make out a thin line of yellow – I will later try and create an interactive version so you can zoom in. In this I like the view under the clouds.
Although there was some movement in the bushes, it was not so distinct as in the earlier image so, after a lot of trials of different techniques, I settled on the standard 5 exposure hdr set.
These can be viewed in the gallery.
