Inverted Little Planet – Apple Trees

Some of these tests didn’t work so well. The first is a small, summer fruiting apple tree with reasonable weather conditions including high clouds that subdued the sun and the contrast:fruiting apple tree

This didn’t turn out too bad although next time I will try and get the camera down lower so as to make more of the tree.

This next two are of a cooking apple tree in a flower bed. They are made from the same set of images but processed in different ways:

This just doesn’t look right.Too much foreground and the overhanging branches don’t look as if they are.

The processing is from a 5 exposure hdr set @ 2 stops, so the clouds and sky look OK and the shadows have low noise so the processing worked!

This next one is made from a single exposure set:

This is cropped differently but still doesn’t look right.

Still, This is the point of testing ideas, if you don’t try them out you don’t know what works!
