Stay-at-home: Spring in the garden

With the current Corvid-19 restrictions, combined with the beautiful spring weather, I decided to photograph some of the colour in our small garden. The first 4 images were taken with my new (to me) macro lens. Here are some of the results:

This first one is of Bellis perennis, a member of the daisy family:

Then we have this white flower. My wife, who is the gardener of the household, cannot recognise it but there is quite a bit growing all over the garden:

Next we have some bright yellow primulas – quite a cheerful shade of yellow:

This next image is still taken with my macro lens but is a stitched panorama of 3 adjacent photos. These I call ‘Nearscapes’ more of which you can see here on my website http://www.nearscapes.co.uk

These next two images are taken with an old 600mm mirror lens. This has a close focus of 2m – these two were taken at a distance of 2-2.5.m. This first one is of Pieris:

And this last one is of the white flower and grape hyacinth:
