First visit of the year to RHS Hyde Hall

Last week we managed a trip to Essex to visit family. While we were there we visited the RHS garden Hyde Hall. It was a beautiful Indian Summer’s day and well worth the visit. Here are a few of my favourite photos:

There were plenty of Dahlias about, here I show one with the information board
Currently Dahlias are my favourite flower…
I could see these were pea or bean flowers but these Lablab purpureus (hyacinth bean, lablab bean) were new to me
A pleasant view within the garden which shows no people despite it being quite busy
Despite its reputation, Essex can be quite picturesque especially in the north and east of the county.
