Trees at Shugborough: #5from7photo

Last week we paid another visit to our local National Trust property: Shugborough. As the autumn colours are yet to get properly started I wasn’t expecting to take many photos, if any. However, there was plenty of detail to be seen on the trees – here is a selection:

Fruit ripening on a ‘Strawberry Tree’
The leaves on this oak tree are covered with thousands of galls
Not cones on this pine tree but the blossom(?) Flowers(??)…
The ripening nuts of a sweet chestnut
The view along the River Sow – not much sign of autumn

All these were taken hand held using a compact camera
