A smallholding revisited part 4: The pond

We had a large pond dug in a boggy part of one of the lower fields. We kept chicken and ducks there but now it is overgrown and naturalistic – an amazing difference:

Pond as dug and filling up with water in early 2001
A later view in 2005. One of those young trees has become:
… an amazing maple tree
Another 2005 view
and a final 2005 view
The pond is in there somewhere…
much has grown now
And looking in the other direction
