Infra-Red by the sea

Since I got my infra-red converted camera I had wanted to try it out by the sea. Our recent holiday in Wales gave me the opportunity to do so. We were lucky in that our visit was at a time of fine weather – blue sky with some fluffy clouds or lighter high-altitude clouds. These clouds give a bit more interest to otherwise plain sky. Below I show a selection of images from 2 locations: Pen Bryn in the morning and Mwnt in the afternoon of the same day:

Pen Bryn Beach from the woodland footpath leading to it
Driftwood on Pen Bryn Beach
View looking landward from across the width of Pen Bryn beach
Rocks in the sand at the northern edge of Pen Bryn Beach
Mwnt beach from the southern cliff-side path
Combined colour and monochrome view of the cliffs to the side of Mwnt beach
Infra-red view of the hill forming the north side of Mwnt beach
Colour version of the previous image taken from a nearby location

I do like the way the infra-red views show a dark sky that emphasises the clouds and an even darker, almost black, sea.
