Holiday in Yorkshire – Harlow Carr RHS Garden

Last month we had a few days holiday in Yorkshire. On the way to the cottage we stopped off at the RHS Garden Harlow Carr. This is our favourite of all the RHS gardens we have so far visited.

The camera I used was a compact camera that takes ‘raw’ images which gives me the most flexibility in processing them. Here are a few images from the visit:

One of the significant gardeners in its history is Geoffrey Smith. When my wife and I first got together in the 1970-80s he was a popular gardener on the TV.

I like this view for its mass of bright, colourful flowers
My wife is still trying to identify this pitcher-plant like flower…

Although we only manage to get there at most once a year, we always enjoy our visit.
