Ynyslas Dunes and Beach

Ynyslas is a nature reserve on the southern side of the River Dovey estuary in Mid Wales. It is mostly dunes with large expanses of sandy beach – at least when the tide is out! We visited it during a break of a few days to a ‘glamping’ site in Mid Wales. Here are a few of the photos taken on this visit:

This first image is a panoramic view of the seaward side of the beach looking north across the estuary with the dunes visible to the right. As you can see it was a cloudy day!

A panoramic view of the beach looking across the estuary with the dunes to the right
A low down view of stones and debris on the beach with the dunes visible in the distance.
Another low view of some stones on the beach with sand behind and a lone figure walking along the horizon in the distance
A shell amongst the stones with dunes in the background
Patterns in the sand
A view through the dunes across the estuary to the town of Aberdovey

I also have infra-red versions but have yet to process them!
