Here, Paul will discuss and show some of his photography.
A Visit to the Hafod Estate
The Hafod Estate is a National Trust property in Mid Wales. It is just land (mostly a working forest) with no mansion, visitor centre nor cafe! However, it does have some outstanding views with paths and streams running through the woods.
You don’t have the huge impressive landscapes of many places abroad but what I like about the British landscapes is that they are more human in scale. Here are a selection of photos taken in my visit at the end of last month:
The small Peiran Falls with a figure on the nearby path
A stream falling through the woods with a footbridge in the background
One of the paths through the woodFerns growing in the rocksThe Gothic Arcade sitting above a streamA lower view of Peiran Falls with the stream slowing past the rocks
We have visit this place a few times before but still have paths to explore.
