Yellow lily in UV Fluorescence

Last month I showed photos of a red day lily under Ultra Violet fluorescence (see: https://www.pmstudios.co.uk/blog/?p=8751). In the garden we also had yellow day lilies so I thought I would see what the difference was – quite a lot as it happens.

Unfortunately this was towards the end of their season and the flowers only last a day (hence their name) so I didn’t have much choice of specimens. Despite that I found the colour difference to the red quite interesting. Below I am showing: the normal colour, the ultra violet colour, and a slider so that the two can be compared:

I find the colour tones to be quite beautiful…
