Article published in local magazine

I have had another article published in a local free magazine, the ‘Stone and Eccleshall Gazette’. This article discussed, and showed, some of the green spaces in Stoke-on-Trent which, according to a 2023 posting by Ordnance Survey, is one of the greenest cities in the UK – a surprise to many.

First page of the article in the magazine

Stoke-on-Trent is often considered to be a very urban city but there are a surprising number of reserves and green spaces. Many are in the middle of large housing and industrial estates but have footpaths leading into the reserves.

The one featured in the page shown above is adjacent to a busy road but walking though the park you would think you were in the countryside if it wasn’t for the occasional glimpses of the housing estates.

I intend to revisit some of them in the autumn.
