UV Fluorescence failures

Not all my attempts at Ultra Violet fluorescence works. Some plants seem to need more work to get them right. This is especially true for trailing plants or those that touch the floor. This means working out what to do with the parts that touch the floor.

For these daylight to fluorescence images I am showing them in pairs using the comparison slider.

Here are a few examples of where I didn’t get it right starting with a non-trailing plant Pilea:

Next up is an angel-wing begonia. Although not specifically a trailing plant, the leaves do go down below the level of the pot:

Finally a variegated saxifrage which does trail beyond the base of the pot:

Although these can be considered failures, they do serve a purpose in that I learn from what I do.
