Walking in Woodland at Cannock Chase

I find some of the woodland at Cannock Chase very quite and secluded with plenty of interest. I like to follow and photograph the paths as well as the woods themselves. What struck me during my recent walk was the way the lighting changes as you progress through the woods. Here are a selection of images from that walk:

The path from the entrance gate with the path up Harts Hill to the right
A view of the western side of Harts Hill with a sunbeam illuminating the bracken
A path through the woodland
Looking back to see a beam of sunlight illuminating the path
The path continuing along a gentle downhill slope

This was an excellent day to visit – it is fast becoming a favourite place to visit.
