Rugeley Power Station is gradually being demolished. This Sunday one of the chimneys is to be taken down. This is something I want to capture for the ‘Transforming the Trent Valley’ project run by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust (I work for them as a volunteer). One of the things needed for the project is to provide -‘before and after’ views. So today I went for a ‘scoping’ exercise to see the landscape before the big day. Unfortunately it was a day of low cloud. Here is a view of the site – you can see what I mean:
The Canal and River Trust has an archive of old photos include a few of the canal with the power station in the background. I wanted to capture a similar view before the chimney came down to create a #vTourThruTime. With today’s weather this is the best I could do:
